II Conversation on Color (in Spanish) <\/strong><\/p>\n

As you may know, I’ve been an educator since the 1980s in various formats: as a full-time Color teacher and by leading workshops on color as a subject and on visual language, grammar, and culture.<\/p>\n

Our second informal Zoom conversation on Color will be in Spanish. The approach I’ll take to color will be revealed during the talk.<\/p>\n

Dynamics of Visual Language<\/strong><\/span>, a workshop led by artist Patricia Van Dalen <\/strong>in Miami since 2016, invites participants to explore art through observation and hands-on practice\u2014no prior experience required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through practical exercises, participants explore color, form, composition, and other creative tools<\/strong>, building confidence in their process while learning to see, interpret, and appreciate art in new ways<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Classes take place in a dynamic and inspiring environment<\/strong>, offering space to experiment, create, and connect with your own artistic vision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In person in Miami and online via Zoom.<\/strong>

Workshops: (Re)Creating Modern Masterpieces<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nThis class was for all experience levels, and projects were customized to the student\u2019s preferred materials.<\/span>
\nEach class began with an illustrated presentation and discussion to inform and foster the understanding of five modern artists. After analyzing the works, students explored the significance of art production by recreating the compositions using different, novel materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

“One of the joys of being an artist is having the possibility of conveying the visual language to others through fun education. I love working with children and adults, leading activities that open new experiences with color, shape, lines, trajectories, with different materials.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In January 2020, Patricia Van Dalen shared with a group of children who worked inspired by her piece “Estaciones\/Stations” at the Gables Coral Museum. The mixed-media work was part of the “For Now: Venezuelan Contemporary Art of the Miami Diaspora” exhibition at the museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neushop | Working Color: An Interactive Workshop with Patricia Van Dalen<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Join us on Saturday, March 4th, 2017,\u00a0 to collaborate with visual artist Patricia Van Dalen<\/a>, who will be performing an exercise related to color behavior based on\u00a0 Neushop’s Oxides Tops Collection<\/a>. Van Dalen\u2019s recent work has been exploring means of production in art that are in a delicate balance between craft and mechanization. Simultaneous to the workshop, Van Dalen will exhibit a series of small stapled works that represent her research on fragmentation and restructuring, and its effects on form, line, space, and color.<\/span><\/p>\n
