The series is based on the terrazzo floor of the building that housed my parents’ bookstore in Caracas, a modernist structure inaugurated in the same year I was born. The floor is treated as an already existing system of fragmentation and color logic, translated into a set of 19 paintings where architectural memory, personal history, and material structure converge.
